This Privacy Policy explains how Tunde Alao ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the EasyGB mobile application (the "App"). We are committed to complying with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable data protection laws.

1. Who We Are

EasyGB is developed by Tunde Alao, based in the European Union. For the purposes of GDPR, Tunde Alao is the data controller responsible for your personal data in connection with the App.

2. What EasyGB Does

EasyGB helps you free up storage space on your device by:

• Finding similar or duplicate photos and videos ("Duplicate Cleaning")
• Compressing large videos ("Video Compression")
• Other space-saving tools within the App

Duplicate Cleaning and Video Compression require an active subscription.

3. Information We Collect

3.1 Photos and Videos Access

To function, EasyGB requests permission to access your device's photo library. Your photos and videos are processed locally on your device. We do not upload, copy, store, or transmit your photos or videos to our servers or to any third party as part of the App's core scanning, duplicate-detection, or compression features.

Note to developer: If any part of media processing happens on a remote server (e.g., cloud-based duplicate detection or compression), this section must be updated to disclose that clearly, including what is transmitted, how long it is retained, and where it is stored — this is a material GDPR disclosure.

3.2 Usage and Analytics Data

We use PostHog as our analytics provider to understand how the App is used and to improve it. This may include:

• App interactions (screens viewed, features used, buttons tapped)
• Device information (device model, operating system version, language, general region)
• App performance data (crashes, load times)
• A randomly generated device/installation identifier

This data is pseudonymized where possible and is used in aggregate to understand usage patterns. We do not use this data to identify you personally.

3.3 Subscription and Payment Information

Subscriptions are purchased and managed through Apple's In-App Purchase system. We do not collect or store your payment card details. Apple may share limited transaction information with us (such as subscription status, purchase date, and renewal status) to allow us to provide access to paid features. Apple's own privacy policy governs the data it collects during purchase.

3.4 Information We Do Not Collect

We do not require you to create an account, and we do not collect your name, email address, or contact list, unless you voluntarily provide it (for example, by emailing us for support).

4. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

We process personal data on the following legal bases:

• Performance of a contract — to provide the App's features and manage your subscription
• Legitimate interests — to analyze usage (via PostHog) and improve the App, provided this does not override your fundamental rights
• Consent — where required, such as for the initial photo library permission request, which is controlled by your device's operating system

5. How We Use Information

We use the information described above to:

• Operate and provide the App's features
• Process and manage subscriptions
• Diagnose technical issues and improve performance
• Understand aggregate usage trends
• Respond to support requests

6. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We share limited data with the following categories of third parties, solely to operate the App:

• PostHog (analytics) — may process data on servers located in the EU or US, depending on your PostHog configuration and hosting region
• Apple Inc. — for processing subscription purchases via the App Store

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your photos or videos with any third party.

7. International Data Transfers

If analytics data is processed outside the European Economic Area (e.g., by a service provider with servers in the United States), we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as Standard Contractual Clauses, consistent with GDPR requirements.

8. Data Retention

• Photos and videos: never retained by us, as they are processed locally on your device
• Analytics data: retained only as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described above, after which it is deleted or fully anonymized
• Subscription data: retained for as long as needed to manage your subscription and comply with legal/accounting obligations

9. Your Rights Under GDPR

If you are located in the European Economic Area (or otherwise entitled to GDPR protections), you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Object to or restrict certain processing
• Request data portability
• Withdraw consent at any time (e.g., by revoking Photos access in your device settings)
• Lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority

10. Children's Privacy

EasyGB is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.

11. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information processed in connection with the App. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
